FREE Fall Protection Certificate Training

Fall Protection (Construction) or Walking Working Surfaces ( General Industry)

Falls continue to be the number one cause of injuries and deaths on job sites. There are too many untrained workers or workers not properly trained - the LWSC has been addressing this problem over the last 10 years. 

We have just recieved an OSHA Susan Harwood Grant and are now able to offer this certificate training at no cost!

This 4-hour class covers the fall protection methods per the 29CFR1926 Subpart M, Subpart L and Subpart X.

Training includes:

the proper use of the Personal Fall Arrest System and its limitaions.

The proper use of Guardrail Systems.

The proper use of Safety Net Systems.

The proper use of Warning Line Systems.

The proper use of Controled Access Zones.

Fall Protection on Scaffolds. 

The Proper use of Portable and Extension Ladders. 

Workers will recieve a class materials, reference guide, and training certificate - picuture ID if taking training at our training center. 

Companies may recieve copies of the training certificates and if requested, a class completion letter from the LWSC for their records.  

It is recommended that companies send thier supervision to our competent person training. 

Training includes the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, controled access zones.

We train workers to understand that safety is a part of being a professional, and we encourage workers to address fall protection issues with thier employers.  

We encourage and help employers understand how to create fall protection plans and site safety plans.

Fall Protection is a concerted effort: Workers must be trained. Supervisors must be trained. Employers must enforce fall protection practices on the jobsite.

A safe jobsite is a productive jobsite!
