Work Zone Hazard Awareness

ATSSA Authorized and Instructor-led training and certification. Persons performing the duties of a flagger are required to be trained and properly equipped to perform their jobs per the most recent edition of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA). Certification is recognized by the Department of Transportation. This 4-hour course is designed to satisfy Federal, State, and Local flagger certification requirements. In addition to the flagger training (additional hour) is the Work Zone Hazard Awareness training. Many more accidents and deaths happen within the work zone itself. This extended training increases understanding of setting up and maintaining work zones. Workers will need to pass a written and a practical test.
