Training includes regulations found in the 29CFR1926 Subpart P and addresses Specific Excavation Requirements Requirements for protective systems Soil Classification Sloping and Benching Shoring and Shielding Excavation Hazard Awareness Certificate Training This 4-hour OSHA Compliant Excavation Hazard Awareness certificate class is designed to train workers on OSHA safety requirements when working around or in excavations or trenches. Participants will learn: OSHA #7410 Spanish This course covers the roles and responsibilities of the employer to educate and assign a competent person to excavation sites. Course topics include understanding and application of definitions relating to the OSHA Excavation Standard, excavation hazards and control measures, soil analysis techniques, protective system requirements and emergency response. Upon course completion, students will understand the importance and duties of a competent person in excavation work and have the knowledge and skills required performing these duties. 0.65 Continuing Education Unit.
