Fall Protection Hazard Awareness : This 4 hour training covers the recognition of fall hazards and the methods of fall prevention including the use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring, and controlled access zones.

Fall Protecion for the Competent Person : This course lasts 8 hours and is designed to meet OSHA Competent Person requirements for fall protection per the 29CFR1926 Subparts M, L and X: Fall hazard identification, how to select the proper protective system, and importance of pre-planning for fall protection. The nature of fall hazards in the work area, the correct procedures for erecting, maintaining, disassembling, and inspecting the fall protection systems to be used, the use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used, the role of each employee in the safety monitoring system when this system is used, the correct procedures for the handling and storage of equipment and materials and the erection of overhead protection. Participants will collaborate in workshops demonstrating the inspection and use of fall protection equipment and developing a fall protection program.

Who should attend? 
This training is recommended as a minimum for all construction workers, and as a refresher for the competent person.
